Installing a new 3 pan counter range
Mallinson’s were approached by fryer Connor Fettes who had spotted an opportunity in his local village to convert a former off licence into a fish and chip shop allowing him to achieve his ambition of running a busy chippy. Following lengthy discussions about the best permutations to maximise use of the space available, it was proposed to fit a new 3 pan counter range which would allow sufficient space for customers to queue at Ang’s Fish Bar and easy access to the prep room for frying staff.
Planning was an issue with the shop as it had to gain A5 approval. With the help of a local architect, Mallinson’s set about creating detailed CAD drawings to show the layout of the new range in the shop along with a proposal for the ducting extraction using existing elevations, with advice from the planning department that the extraction had to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Commenting on the design and implementation for his new shop Ang’s Fish Bar, Connor said: “I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from the guys at Mallinson’s who went above and beyond all expectations. The installation went very smoothly, the service engineers were very knowledgeable and the range is really easy to operate which is a huge bonus too”.
